Inactive Volcanoes Of The Philippines

This is a list of inactive volcanoes in the Philippines. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) currently lists 355 volcanoes in the Philippines as inactive. The Smithsonian Institution's Global Volcanism Program does not list inactive volcanoes. The PHIVOLCS listing is the basis of this list but with additional information and with some placed in the active list or the potentially active list. Volcanoes with current solfataric or fumarolic activity, such as Pocdol, are not listed here but can be found in Potentially active volcanoes in the Philippines. Others, such as Pangasun, are variant names for active volcanoes which are listed in Active volcanoes in the Philippines. This list shows 339 inactive volcanoes in the Philippines.
Volcanoes considered inactive may start erupting with very little warning, such as Pinatubo in 1991. Submarine volcanoes have not been included on any PHIVOLCS list. There may be a gap in the PHIVOLCS list because it does not include any inactive volcanoes beginning with the letters E or F.
